Frances N. Lucero

Frances N. Lucero, 78, of Las Cruces, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011. She was born May 19, 1933 in Fabens, TX to Felipe and Calistra Nunez. Frances was a lifelong member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, where she taught Catechism Classes for many years and was also active in the church. Frances will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Raymond C. Lucero of the family home; sons Ray Anthony Lucero and wife Sue Ann of Las Cruces, Johnny Lucero and wife Pearl and Joseph Lucero and wife Tiffany all of Albuquerque, NM; daughters Terri Arellano and husband Juan of Las Cruces and Rita Rae of Richmond, VA; sisters Emma Casanova of Las Cruces and Concha Rodriguez of Fresno, CA. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Joral, Janelle, Monica, David, Jacob, Alexander and Alexxus and by a great-granddaughter Isis. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church where a prayer vigil will follow at 7 pm. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be at 1 pm on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2011 also at St. Genevieve's with Fr. Ricardo Bauza officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. The honor of being a pallbearer goes to members of her family. PDF Printable Version
