Gabriela P. Salcido

Gabriela (Guerra) P. Salcido, 81, of Las Cruces, NM died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 surrounded by her family. Gabriela was born April 25, 1930 in Villa Matamoros, Chihuahua, Mexico to Victoriano and Martina Parra. Gabriela enjoyed cooking and doing word searches. She was a loving, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family, whether you knew her by grandma Guerra, Auntie Guerra, or just Guerra. Gabriela will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children Lydia Cisneros, Esther Aguirre(Tony Aguirre), Ruben Salcido (Susie Salcido), Marty Lopez (Luis Lopez) all of Las Cruces, NM. Grandchildren Gaby Cisneros, Luis Cisneros Jr., Ruben Salcido Jr., Tony Aguirre Jr., Joseph Salcido, Erica Aguirre, Sara Salcido, and Luis (Pops) Lopez. Also surviving her are great grandchildren Raquel Weatherly, Ariana Cisneros, Adrian Salcido, and Jayden Fausto. She is preceded in death by her parents Victoriano and Martina Parra, brother Patricio Parra, sister Micaela Caro, Son-in-law Luis Cisneros, and Grandchildren Ruby Salcido, and Victor Cisneros. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 9:30 am at the Family Worship and Praise Center. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Mathew K. Garcia. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Luis Cisneros Jr., Ruben Salcido Jr., Tony Aguirre Jr., Joseph Salcido, Luis (Pops) Lopez, and Hector Reyes.
