Gissel Analis Mata

Gissel Analis Mata, 3 years old went to be with her heavenly father when she lost her fight with cancer on November 28, 2011, at her home in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Services are as follows: Thursday viewing from 6- 7pm, Rosary from 7 pm. Friday there will be a mass of the angels at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral at 10 am. Burial will follow mass at the Masonic Cemetery. Although her time with us was short, our "Princess" blessed us with her grown-up personality, her humor, her love, and valuable life lessons she had taught us. She will be missed greatly, but she will never be forgotten and no longer be in any suffering. Gissel was born in Las Cruces on November 11, 2008 shortly after Gissel had to grow up to battle cancer. Ironically it was the strength and resilience of Gissel who gave her family the drive to carry on. At the age of 2 years old Make a Wish Foundation sent Gissel to Orlando, Florida to visit Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios. Gissel touched many people's lives, and will continue to do so in many ways. Gissel is survived by her loving parents Andrea and Henry Mata, Grandparents Henry and Dolores Mata; Luis and Maria Mercado, Aunts and Uncles, Blanca and David Precie, Luis and Alexandra Mercado, Dolores and Hector Lizarazga, Anthony and Michelle Mata, Bobbie Jo and Larry Altamirano.
