Guadalupe Barrera Martinez, a cherished member of the community, was born on December 12, 1947, in San Diego De Alcala, Chihuahua, Mexico. She departed this life on August 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and culinary delights that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Guadalupe was a dedicated home caregiver, known for her nurturing spirit and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. Her family was her pride and joy, and she is survived by her beloved partner, Daniel Espinoza; as well as her sons, Ricky and Michael Martinez, and Luis Barrera and wife Monica Barrera and Granddaughter Isabella Barrera. She is also survived by her siblings, Maria Gonzalez, Maria Prieto, Virginia Garcia, Bartolo Barrera, Jose Barrera, Antonio Barrera and Juan Barrera. A passionate cook, Guadalupe was famous for her delicious beans and Gorditas, Enchiladas, with her tamales being a winter tradition that gathered family and friends around the table. Her talents extended to gardening; she could make the earth bloom with vibrant colors, reflecting her vibrant spirit. Guadalupe was and avid member of Our Lady Of Health Catholic Church. She always found time to volunteer with church activities. Guadalupe made the greatest effort to stay connected to her roots and culture through music. She adored the sounds of Pepe Aguilar, Antonio Aguilar, Vicente Fernandez, and Lola Beltrán, filling her home with the joyful rhythms that resonated with her heart. Dedicated to her two grandchildren, she delighted in babysitting and ensuring they were fed, always making time for their happiness and well-being. Her laughter, kindness, and culinary expertise will echo in the hearts of those who loved her. Guadalupe Barrera Martinez will be lovingly remembered for her robust spirit, nurturing nature, and the countless memories shared with family and friends. Her resounding legacy will continue to inspire laughter, love, and a sense of community. Guadalupe was preceded in death by: Parents Jose and Francisca Barrera, Grandon Luis Santana Barrera

A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00pm,Tuesday August 26, 2025, at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church. The Funeral Liturgy will be Held the following Day August 27, 2025. 10:00 am. at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, with interment to Follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
