Harold L."Hal" Harmon, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away July 6, 2012, at the NM State Veterans Home in T. or C. NM, at the age of 86. Hal was born February 7, 1926, to Louis and Helen Harmon of Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Holland Harmon, his son, Frank, and daughters, Katy (Jed) Duggan, and Janet Harmon, and grandchildren Jayce, Jenna, and Cora DuBois, and Tristan and Isabel Duggan, all from Las Cruces. He is also survived by his former wife, Theodora Harmon and their three sons, Michael, Tony and Harold of El Paso, Texas. Mr. Harmon retired from the U.S. Army after serving his country for 22 years. After retirement he worked at the White Sands Test Facility during the Apollo program, and he was a part of the Space Shuttle Support Team. He also worked in Range Control at White Sands Missile Range until he retired. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and tinkering in his workshop. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Getz Funeral Home. PDF Printable Version
