Harvey John Rutherford

Harvey John Rutherford passed away November 29, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center Las Cruces New Mexico, he was 78 years old. Harvey was born September 8, 1935 in Omaha Nebraska. His parents Louise Martig and Harvey Elias Rutherford passed away previously. Harvey married BJ Harrig October 18, 1957. Harvey attended the University of Nebraska Omaha. Harvey was in the Army and served 18 years as a reserve. Harvey and BJ moved from Nebraska to California in 1971, lived there until 2006 where they took up residency in Las Cruces New Mexico. Harvey worked in sales at CertainTeed for many years. He was also a licensed pest control field representative until he retired in 2005. He was a practicing Shrine/Mason. Harvey loved sports, watching all football especially The Nebraska Cornhuskers. He enjoyed his many friends and attended many Cornhusker game parties. He is survived by his wife BJ, daughter Sue Prechtl son-in-law Dan Prechtl, grandson Ryan Prechtl granddaughter Sara Prechtl. Memorial Service is Wed December 4th, 10:00 AM at Getz Funeral Home 1410 East Bowman Avenue Las Cruces New Mexico. PDF Printable Version
