It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Herlinda Rodriguez, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Herlinda departed this world peacefully at her home on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.
Herlinda was born on August 3, 1944, in the picturesque town of San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, to Socorro and Pedro Gonzalez. Her life was a beautiful testament to the enduring power of love, humor, and faith. Herlinda was preceded in death by her parents and her dear siblings Juanita, Jesus, Manuel, and Leticia, all of whom she held close to her heart throughout her life. She is survived by husband, Roman Rodriguez. Herlinda leaves behind her children, Elizabeth Vielma and her husband Anthony, Mario Rodriguez and his wife Blanca, Alma Doyon and her husband Brian. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were cornerstones in their lives. A doting grandmother, Herlinda's love extended to her grandchildren: Brenda Munoz and her Fiancé Maria, Cameron Gloria, Lessli Realivasquez, Brianna Rodriguez and her husband Daniel, and Lindzee Paz. Her joy was further multiplied by her great-grandchildren, Jack Gloria, Anthony and Riley Martinez, and Spencer-James Archuleta, they all brought her immense happiness and pride. Herlinda's life was a symphony of love and devotion, underscored by her passion for music and her nurturing care for plants. Her home was always filled with the lilting notes of her favorite tunes and the vibrant colors of her carefully tended garden. Herlinda's faith was the guiding light in her life, providing her with strength and tranquility in all circumstances. Her good humor was infectious, bringing smiles and laughter to all who knew her. As a caring mother and loving grandmother, Herlinda's legacy is one of warmth and compassion. She imparted invaluable life lessons to her family, teaching them to embrace the beauty of the world, to find joy in simple moments, and to hold steadfast to their beliefs. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Herlinda's family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating her remarkable life at a service to be held 7/15/26, Rosary at 9:30 am and Funeral Mass 10:00 am St Genevieve's Catholic Church 100 S Espina St Las Cruces NM 88001. Please join the family at the NMSU Golf Course Banquet Room 3000 Herb Wimberly Dr Las Cruces NM 88011 following the mass service, from Noon to 3:00 pm. Herlinda’s family would like to take the time to thank everyone at High Desert Hospice, your institution reflects a generous caring spirit which has been instrumental to our emotional support.
Though Herlinda has left this earthly realm, her spirit continues to live on in the hearts and memories of those she touched. Her life was a testament to love, and her legacy is one of kindness and joy. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
