The family of Iva Loo Haddad of Las Cruces, NM, is saddened to announce her passing on January 2, 2026, following complications from an ongoing illness. We are blessed to have had her with us for 95 years.

Iva Loo Haddad (Kendall, Wright) was born in Swan Lake, Idaho on February 17, 1930, to Wilford and Evelyn Glover Kendall. Iva Loo was the second of seven children. She attended Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, Idaho, continued her education and obtained a Bachlor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. She began her teaching career in Duncan, Arizona and finally in Las Cruces. Here, she taught second grade at Loma Heights Elementary School for 30 years. She often reminisced about her many students over her years of teaching.

Iva Loo was a faithful Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the City Church Bowling League and a member of the KAPPA APPA IOTA for many years.

As you will see, she has an exceptionally large and loving family. They would get together on holidays and every Sunday for family supper. Some of the grandchildren would take turns fixing dinner for her during the week. After dinner, they would work on putting puzzles together. She had many of those puzzles decorating her walls!
