James H. Harvey

James H. Harvey 90 October 4,1934 - July 24,2025 James passed away peacefully in Las Cruces, NM. He was preceded in death by his father William, his mother Vaude and his three brothers Marion, Paul and Hugh. James is survived by Norma, his loving wife of 67 years, his sons Tom, Joe and Charles, three grandchildren Barry, Bridgette and Jesse and three great grandchildren Rylee, Stella and Tatem. James was born and raised in Las Cruces NM and graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1951. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he saw combat action in the Korean War. He then went on to NMSU where he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked in the Federal Government for 30 years and retired in 1989. James was a husband, father, friend, coach, umpire, fisherman and hunter. He loved spending time with family at the cabin in the mountains. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Las Cruces on August 22, 2025 at 10:00 am.
