James T. Pollock, 48, of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center. "Jim" or "Jimbo" as he was fondly known was born on February 17, 1960 to Dr. and Mrs. James L. Pollock, Jr. He graduated from Cobre High School in Bayard, NM in 1978 and had attended Western New Mexico University and New Mexico State University for a time. Jim was a good man with a huge heart, and a true friend to those who knew him. He was an avid musician and loved to play the guitar. Jim had a passion for sailing, and sailboats, and had extensive knowledge on the subject. He dreamed he would one day own a sailboat and sail on some beautiful remote waters. Jim also loved to fish and hike in the Gila Wilderness as well. He is survived by his mother, Barbara A. Pollock; sisters, Leslie A. Pollock, Jacquelyn G. Starkey. Barbara L. Kling and husband Tim; numerous nieces, one nephew and a handful of good and loyal friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James L. Pollock, MD, and one sister, Valerie Kay Pollock. Jimbo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. At his request, cremation will take place and private funeral services will be scheduled at a later date. PDF Printable Version
