Jesus Rios

Jesus (Chuy) Rios died from complications with cancer at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada on Thursday, April 21, 2011. Jesus was born to Juan and Amadita Rios on November 16, 1941 in Las Cruces, NM. He graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1960 and work for WSMR Fire Department where he retired in 1992.Jesus enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth A. Rios of 43 years, sister, Senida Henke, daughters Yvonne Clina and husband Dusty of Poughkeepsie, NY, Joanne Aguilar and husband Gary of Las Cruces, NM, Jeanette Finnell and husband Irl of Las Cruces, NM, Maureen Cooper and husband James of Las Cruces, NM, and Geraldine Rios and Husband Alfred Woods of Vado, NM. Jesus has 12 grandchildren, Jesika, Elizabeth, Victoria, Herbie, Tyson, Jackie, Amanda, Jonathan, Sarah, Anthony, Joshua, and James. He has three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsey, and Gabriel. The Visitation is Scheduled at 5:00 pm and the Prayer Vigil Is Scheduled at 7:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E Bowman Ave. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina St. on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
