Jesus Salinas

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Jesus Salinas, 74, of Las Cruces left his dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday August 7, 2012 at Sagecrest Nursing Home in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born March 17, 1938 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ignacio and Maria Salinas. Mr. Salinas worked as as heavy machinery operator, night watchman and a foreman for Stahmann Farms. His passion was truck driving. Those left to mourn his passing include his three sons Javier Salinas from Los Angeles, California, Carlos Salinas from Vado, New Mexico, Jesus Salinas from Las Cruces, New Mexico; his daughters Leticia Pinon from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Patricia Ramirez from El Paso, Texas, Sandra Sanchez from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sylvia Ariaz from Chaparral, New Mexico. Other survivors include his brothers Roberto Salinas from Vado, New Mexico, Alejandro Salinas from Mesquite, New Mexico and Juan Salinas from Eagle Pass, 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ignacio and Maria Salinas, his brothers Alberto and Carlos Salinas. A visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012 at First Assembly of God, 5605 Bataan Memorial West, Las Cruces, New Mexico where a evening prayer service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with Pastor Manuel Jaimes officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Javier, Carlos, Jesus Salinas, Pedro Ramirez, Manuel Pinon and David Fernandez. PDF Printable Version
