Joanna Ross

Joanna Shillinglaw Ross, 68, of Las Cruces, died Friday November 30, 2007. Death was of natural causes after a prolonged illness and three (3) months in three different hospitals. She died at Memorial Medical Center at 10:50 AM in the presence of her husband and several nurses. One of the proposed causes of death was congestive heart failure. She is survived by her husband William, son William Jr., daughter Tara and three grandchildren. She was a 1961 graduate of the University of Wyoming, Laramie. She majored in education and taught until her retirement in the State of Illinois and was an active member of the Illinois Teacher's Association. After retirement she moved to Las Cruces with her husband and worked for many years at NMSU as a department secretary. She was cremated and her ashes were scattered to the wind. PDF Printable Version
