Joel Medina-Acevedo

Joel Medina Acevedo passed at age 82 surrounded by his family.

Joel was a very hardworking man, who dedicated his life to farming and agriculture, a provider, as he took the responsibility and willingness to make sure his family had a good lifestyle. He enjoyed seeing his family gathered and united. He was a man of few words but expressed it in his own way. watching over all his grandchildren taking care of house needs and watching his Mexican novels was his peace and down time.

He is preceded in death by his wife Antonia Medina Garcia, Brothers, Granddaughter Martita.

He is survived by his children Cristy (Antonio), Martin (Anna), Mercy, Marco (Anais) Irene. Grandchildren Manue l(Yanira), Cristy, Ricardo, Jorge (Stefany), Jessica, Betty (Omar), Angel, Andrea, Jessie, Marquito, Natalie, Arlene, Anthony, Brianna, Esme, Jocelyn, Enrique, Sebastian, Santi, Darian, Eli’Mar, Mathias. Brothers and sisters in Chihuahua, Mexico. His good friend of a life time Chame (Gloria). All of his nieces and nephews.

He will be missed forever.

Services are scheduled at 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 20, 2026 with a viewing at Getz Funeral Home.  The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, July 21, 2026 also at Getz Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
