Lamar Haugabrook

Lamar Haugabrook, 66 of Las Cruces, NM passed on Saturday, May 10, 2014. He was born to Jimmy and Lillie Haugabrook on March 23, 1948 in Atlanta, GA. Lamar honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. He enjoyed bird watching, was a Dallas Cowboys fan and spending time with family and friends. Lamar was a kind hearted man with an independent spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Lamar was preceded in death by his wife Lois Haugabrook and his mother Lillie Smith. He is survived by his son Kevin Haugabrook (ATL), daughter Kellye (Tony) Terrell (ATL), son Stephen (Angienette) Haugabrook (Norfolk), son Matthew Haugabrook (Las Cruces), daughter Gloria Haugabrook (Norfolk), and daughter Lynelle Haugabrook (Norfolk). 4 sisters - Teresa (Roosevelt) Childress (Atlanta), Celestine Taylor (Detroit), Carol Haugabook (Detroit), Chevoka Rowe (Detroit). Five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on May 15, 2014 at Getz Funeral Home for 4:00
