Lucille Wolf

July 26, 1931 — December 6, 2024

Las Cruces

Lola Lucille Wolf, (Lucille), went home to our Lord Jesus Christ, at the age of 93. Lucille passed away peacefully Friday December 6th 2024 with her family by her side. Lucille spent her last days at the Heritage Assisted Living. Lucille was born in Roswell, NM oldest child of William (Willy) and Pearl (Blanscet) Dean, July 26th, 1931. Her siblings include brother William Dean Jr and wife Ethel, Daniel Dean and wife Levena, sisters Mildred "Millie" Brown and husband Richard "Dick", LeNora Correia and husband John and Margaret Waldo and husband Donald. Lucille graduated from Roswell High School in 1949 with the dream of attending College. Lucille, a loving mother, raised three beautiful children, Charles "Chuck", Char and Christopher "Chris" with the help of her parents while she educated herself and went on to become an administrator and manager of gas and oil leases in Roswell NM. She loved and was indebted to her parent's and was their caregiver up to and at the end of their lives.

Lucille felt very blessed to meet and shortly afterwards marry, William "Bill" C. Wolf of Roswell NM. Bill, an avid rifle competitor, introduced Lucille to the National Riffle Association (NRA) and New Mexico Shooting Sports Association (NMSSA) where she performed organizational and management tasks of many of Bill's shooting programs and competition events. Lucille and Bill spent 34 wonderful years together and she spoke often how much she missed his presence and in her last days was looking forward to joining him.

Lucille loved her home and kept it pristine inside and out with beautiful rose bushes that she was proud of. Her favorite was visitor's - family or friends, any time of the day; chatting over a cup of honey sweeten green tea or coffee or sharing her delicious green chile stew with black peppered buttered crackers.

Lucille was devoted to her local church and her warm smiles and welcoming nature left lasting impressions on anyone who crossed her path!

She is survived by her sisters Millie and LeNora and all of her children as well as her grandchildren Wes, Andy, Jason, Ali and Katie and her six great grandchildren, Sarah, Brenna, Tucker, Jaxon, Jase, Carson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings William Jr, Daniel and Margaret, nephews Kendall Brown, Jeff Waldo, Roger Dean and her grandchild, Wade Wolf.

Lucille will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate within the hearts of those she touched. We would like to thank all the caregivers of the assisted living facilities and home health and hospice companies that have provided care for Lucille. We would also like to say a special thank you to Tina Garcia for her loving concern and care for Lucille that allowed her to stay in her home for as long as she did!

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in Roswell in the spring.
