Lorenza "Lori" Medina

Lorenza (Lori) Medina 71 years old passed away peace fully into enteral life on Tuesday June 2, 2026, at Mesilla Valley Hospice. Lori was born on January 15, 1955, and raised in Hatch New Mexico to Cruz and Antonio Castaneda.

On June 18,1977 Lori married the love of her life Joe Medina where they lived and farmed in Garfield NM.

Lori obtained a bachelor’s degree and worked for taxation and revenue where she was a supervisor for 16yrs then became a county director for Income support division where she retired in 2018. Lori’s hobbies include camping, gardening and sewing outfits for her precious dog patches. Lori enjoyed being a mentor to all that were beneath her. She stated knowledge should always be shared. Lori was always there to lend a helping hand no matter what no questions asked.

Lori is survived by her husband Joe Medina from Garfield NM and 2 brothers and 2 sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday June 11, 2026, at San Isidro Catholic Church in Garfield, NM Viewing at 9:30 and Rosary 10:30 with funeral mass to follow. Pallbearers are Randall Holguin, Robert Holuin, Christoper Holguin, Ricky Bouvet, Pepe Estrada and Manny Ferrales.
