It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion, Lorenzo (Larry) Heredia on July 28, 2026. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born on March 30,1939 in Santa Rita NM. He is predeceased by his parents Dolores & Aurora Carbajal Heredia, sister Laura Holguin, sister Margaret (Peggy) Lucero, sister Rosie Delfin and granddaughter Kyli Heredia.

Surviving siblings; Ramona Parra Deming NM, Dolores Heredia Jr. (Sharon) Burke NY, Josephine Heredia Henderson Nevada, Martin Heredia Bullhead City AZ, Lucy Sosoya Santa Clara NM, Marion Gonzales Las Cruces NM, Rita Sosoya Lynnwood WA, John Heredia Bayard, NM,

Lifetime Companion Ruth Farnell.

He is survived by his three sons, Steven, Peter, Michael (Stela) Heredia. He had 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, along with 29 nieces and nephews.

Larry was a Veteran in the US Army; he retired from White Sands Missile Range as an Outdoor Recreation Specialist who dedicated over 35 years of service to the Federal Government and was awarded the Medal for Civilian Service. He also served as a Security Guard in his early years at WSMR.

He loved spending time with his family, going fishing with his sons and grandsons, wood crafting, he loved football, played many years of baseball, and helped coach girls’ softball. He contributed to many charities, and loved going out to eat, and had a special love for cookies and anything sweet.

He was also survived by Juliann Lujan, who he loved as a granddaughter. As well as his extended family. Tracey Venegas (Jesus), Jesus, Diego, Gabi. Selina Molina (Jeff), Juliann, Brian Farnell (Monica) Brian Jr, Isaiah, Aurora.

A special thanks to Jacob Gardner for all the loving and caring support. Thanks to the LCFD Engine 5 for all the help responding to our needs no matter how small.

Forever you will beloved and missed.
