Louis Joseph Biad, (Luigi Giuseppe Biada) Born on February 23, 1931 to Donato and Eleanora Biada, passed away Peacefully at his home on February 7, 2026- two weeks shy of his 95th birthday.

In December 1950, the Biad family moved from Brooklyn, New York to New Mexico. His life changed as he went form working as a draftsman in the Empire State Building, to a tractor on a dirt farm in Arrey, New Mexico. He often wondered what might have been had he stayed in or returned to New York, but he dearly loved being a farmer for 33 years. A pioneering force in the Chile industry, he was one of the few who made Hatch Valley the “Chili Capital of the World’.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Eleanor, and his brother Victor, whom he missed greatly.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Beverly Apirl Biad, his dear sister Theresa Ida Evand, his six children: Cristan Ismond (Tom), Julie Ogaz (Edward), Vicky Schneider (Dan) Donald Biad (Lisa), Louis Biad (Summer), Jovonna Zilisch (Matt), his 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren,
