Louisa Lucero Jaramillo

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Louisa Petra Lucero Jaramillo, 76, entered eternal rest Sunday October 11, 2009 surrounded by her family. Born May 26, 1933 in Taos New Mexico to David & Estella Lucero, she was a resident of Las Cruces since 1981. Louisa loved bingo, the casino, traveling and laughing with family and friends. Louisa was a devout Catholic, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed game shows, reading, word puzzles and a good game of Scrabble or Uno. She is survived by her spouse of many years, John A. Jaramillo; her children James and Benita Lucero of Taos, NM; Yolanda & Robert Gonzales of Las Cruces, NM; Phillip and Denise Ortiz of Las Cruces NM; sister, Lorraine and Eloy Trujillo of Taos, NM; grandchildren: Joan, Jamie, Maria, Patricia, Donna, Deena, Cole, Taylor, Landon, Gage and Micah; and great-grandchildren; Angel, Santana, Mia, Diego, Caedon, Brandon, Shane, Megan, Selestra and Lilianna and special nephew, Carlos E. Trujillo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Marvin Ortiz; siblings, Charlie and Adelina Lucero, Maria Romo, Edna & Ben Vargas; and special niece Emily Trujillo Valdez. At Louisa's request, cremation has taken place and a Prayer Vigil will be at 2 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church where the Funeral Liturgy will immediately follow PDF Printable Version
