Maria Elena Hawkins, 76, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away on January 29, 2018 in Las Cruces. She was the widow of Charles R Hawkins. Funeral services will not be held, the family will honor her wishes. Arrangements are by Getz Funeral Home. Maria was born in Davenport, Iowa to Ernest and Marie Martens on August 10, 1941. Maria is survived by son Mark (Dawn) Hawkins, Christine (Daniel) Anderson, Kelly Hawkins, Stacey (Robert) Contreras, her two brothers Ernest and Carl and three sisters, Virginia, Roseanne and Deanna. Numerous Grandchildren and great-Grandchildren.
