Maria Ruth Mizrahi

Maria Ruth Mizrahi, aged 82, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on November 20, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1943, in Agua Prieta, Chih., Mexico, as the cherished daughter of Reyes Robles and Isabel Martinez Robles.

Ruth was a woman of deep faith. She attended the Apostolic Church of God in Christ in Las Cruces for many years and remained a devoted member of her congregation throughout her life.

Ruth is lovingly remembered by her children, Jerry Mizrahi (Christian) and Lisa Palacios (John). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Zalayah Gonzalez, Santiago Palacios, and Exodus Palacios. She is also survived by her brothers, Ben Robles (Nina), Mois Robles (Sofia), Peter Robles (Martha), and Richard Robles; and her sisters, Rosa Sandoval, Irene Bencomo (Joe), Toni Lavor (Bill), Angie Harmon (David), and Isela Chavez (Celso). In addition, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces mourn her passing.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Reyes and Isabel Robles; her grandchildren, Felicia Guzman and Thomas Palacios; her brothers, Eliazar Robles and Manuel Robles; nephews, Ricky Chavez and Lorenzo Chavez; and niece, Alicia Ochoa.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Church of God in Christ, located at 902 S. Alamo in Las Cruces. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Willie Roman and Carlos Hernandez. A reception will be held immediately following the church service to honor Ruth’s memory and to gather with family and friends.
