In Loving Memory of Maria Del Rosario Nuñez Pantoja

Maria Del Rosario Nuñez Pantoja, 65, was born on October 27, 1960, in El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Maria dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others at White Acres Nursing Home. She devoted her career to assisting seniors with kindness, compassion, and dignity, leaving a lasting impact on the countless lives she touched. Beyond her dedication to caring for others, Chayo enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams, proudly supporting the UTEP Miners and the Dallas Cowboys. Her team spirit and love for the game brought her joy and created many cherished memories with family and friends.

Above all, Maria was a beautiful, strong, and loving mother. She took great pride in raising her three daughters, Paula, Blanca, and Cynthia, who were the center of her world. Her love, strength, and guidance will continue to live on through her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paula and Ruben Nuñez.

Maria is lovingly survived by her three daughters; her beloved sons-in-law, Richard and Tony; seven cherished grandchildren: Damian, Clarissa, Nathan, Aiden, Caleb, Mia, and Aubrey; three great-grandchildren: Paulina, Santhiago, and Nathaniel; her four brothers, Jose Angel Nuñez, Ruben Nuñez, Rogelio Nuñez, and Gilberto Nunez; and her beloved sister, Martha Isabel. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maria will be remembered for her compassionate heart, unwavering strength, selfless spirit, and the love she freely shared with her family, friends, and those she cared for throughout her life. Chayo’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all whose lives she touched. We will always remember her silly moments, her fun dancing and her Paquita la del Barrio karaoke nights.
