Martin Guerrero

Martin Rios Guerrero, 79, passed to the hands of our Lord on April 24th, 2015 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Martin was born on March 8, 1936 to Pablo and Guadalupe Guerrero in La Mesa New Mexico. He was the youngest of 3, Benito Guerrero (deceased) and Valentina Jacques. He married Elva Jacques Guerrero on July 12, 1958, and had three children, Pablo Guerrero (fianc Dennis Callahan), Lisa Guerrero Carrera, deceased June 4, 2014 (husband Jesse) and Martin Ross Guerrero (wife Lourdes). He is survived by 8 grandchildren, Jerrid Guerrero, Summer Lee Carrera, Ben Showard-Guerrero, Justine Davidsson, Melissa Wood, John LaCourt, Samantha Guerrero, and James Guerrero. Martin was retired from the Air Force after 20 years as a firefighter, and then retired from Las Cruces Public Schools as a school custodian at Hillrise Elementary. Martin enjoyed woodwork, working on his cars, and spending time with his family. Memorial services will be on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM. Inurnment will be held at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date. PDF Printable Version
