Patricia "Pat" Peters
January 19, 1934 — August 6, 2025
Patricia (Pat) Peters, born January 19, 1934, in El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2025, surrounded by her children.
Pat lived in Las Cruces, NM with her son Frank, and treasured her Hatch farm. She was devoted to family, loved animals, and was generous and welcoming to all, friends and strays alike. Over the years Pat participated in various political campaigns and, along with her husband Eugene "Pete" Peters, were actively engaged in establishing the Hatch area Ambulance service. She enjoyed camping and caring for her orchard and yard.
Pat is survived by her children John (Sara) of Kasson, MN, Frank of Las Cruces, and Martha (Ron) Kilpatrick of Phoenix, AZ, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pete, daughter Andrea, parents Frank and Edna Gardner, brother Charles Gardner, and sister Liz Richards.
A memorial service will be held August 13, 2025, at 3pm at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces. In lieu of flowers, please honor Pat by extending kindness to those in need.
