Our beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt, Patsy Duran, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at 1:55 a.m. at Three Crosses Hospital.

Patsy was born on July 2, 1949, to Raymond V. Duran and Maxine M. Duran. She lived her entire life in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of all who knew and loved her.

Patsy leaves behind her siblings, Jean, Raymond, and Bobby, as well as her children and grandchildren: Lorie, Patrick, Desiree, Breanna, Brittney, Savannah, and Kairi, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Loraine Torres.

Patsy graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1967. She began working shortly after graduation. Her first job was at Ruby’s Cafeteria, followed by many other jobs, including Hair Dresser, Detention Center, Dog Catcher, Day Care Center, and SafeRide. She also devoted herself to caring for her mother.

Patsy was a member of Las Cruces Central SDA Church for 28 years. She loved attending church every Saturday and spending time with God through prayer, worship, and singing songs to her Heavenly Father. Wherever she went, she shared her faith with anyone who would listen. She would often say that she was simply doing the work of the Lord so that everyone could be saved and not lost.

Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt is now resting peacefully, waiting for our Lord to come and carry us home.

Patsy will forever be loved, remembered, and cherished by all whose lives she touched.
