Our beloved husband, son, brother, nino, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, Randy R. Delgado, age 43, of Las Cruces and formerly of Mesquite, entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. He was born on September 8, 1982, in El Paso, Texas, to Paul C. and Elva S. Delgado. Randy was a 2001 graduate of Las Cruces High School and continued his education at the University of New Mexico, graduating with a degree in Architecture Drafting and Design. At the time of his death, Randy was employed with Diversified Interiors as a design drafter.

He was a proud Las Cruces High School football player and a member of back-to-back champions in 1999 and 2000. In 2000, he was awarded Offensive Lineman of the year and was named All-District Center.

Randy had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and both watching and playing football and baseball. He especially loved grilling and spending time doing the things that brought people together.

He loved deeply, had a truly generous heart and wore his heart on his sleeve. Randy cherished his friendships and relationships, especially the one he cultivated with his best friend Carla who then became his wife. He was known as the life of the party, always wanting those around him to feel happy and included. Having his wife by his side, Randy enjoyed being around family and friends and it meant everything to him.

Randy was a youth sports coach with USA Football Organization, he was a dedicated mentor and role model, leaving a lasting impact on the young athletes he coached. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time around horses, embracing every moment of life with passion.

Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Carla Shea Delgado; his parents, Paul C. and Elva S. Delgado; his sister, Cynthia D. Nevarez (Manny); two nephews, Aydyn & Damyn; a special cousin he considered a brother, Nathaniel R. Saavedra. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Patricia Crook; a stepdaughter, Alexis Baca (Raymond); two stepsons, Trae Montoya (Nivea) and Tristen Montoya (Brianna); his step-grandchildren; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Enrique and Rosa Saavedra; his paternal grandparents, Pablo and Candelaria Delgado; his father-in-law, Johnny Crook, as well as other family members.

Visitation for Randy will begin at 2 PM, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave, where the Funeral Service is scheduled for 3 PM. Cremation will follow, and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
