Raymond Dale Good
November 23, 1984 – August 10, 2026
Our beloved Raymond Dale “Dale” Good—father, husband, son, and brother—was born on November 23, 1984, in Grants, New Mexico, and passed away suddenly on August 10, 2026, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Dale was a fun-loving person with an outgoing personality who could make everyone around him feel at ease. He was “that” person to whom most people felt free to pour out their hearts. He was an excellent nurse and loved to feed people, as he was an amazing cook. Dale also enjoyed
movies, video games, golf, swimming, trying new foods, and spending time with his children, family, and friends. He lived big and loved big.
Dale was raised in Grants, New Mexico, and graduated from Grants High School. Over the years, he held several jobs in Grants and Las Cruces. He worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Grants; served as a Dietary Aide, Cook, and Transport Driver at Good Samaritan Grants Nursing Home; owned a music store called West Winds and, at a separate time, a hookah lounge in Las Cruces; and worked a traveling job for a refinery company for a short time. Shortly after his marriage to his first wife, Kendra Kerr of Grants, they operated a food truck in Gallup, New Mexico, next to his father’s business, Goodfellas.
Dale and Kendra had two precious children together, Dartanian and Zerenity. He loved his kids more than life itself. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and seeing them enjoy life. Shortly after Zerenity’s birth, the family relocated to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where Dale continued his nursing education. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in December 2021. After passing his state board exams, he was excited to begin his nursing career. He loved nursing, whether in the hospital or the nursing home. Many of his coworkers have shared that he was an exemplary nurse who inspired others to be their best and provided excellent training to new students and employees.
Dale and Kendra were married for ten years before parting ways. After some time, Dale married Ayde Good, and they made their home in Las Cruces until the time of his death. Dale always cared about people who wanted to make healthy eating choices and, at one time, catered to those with special dietary needs. More recently, alongside his nursing work, he partnered with two friends and associates, Rob and Morgan, to form “RN Health,” which supports healthy eating and lifestyle.
Raymond Dale Good is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Bernard Good and Dale Copeland; grandmothers, Dorothea Heuett and Mazell Copeland; step-grandfathers, Leo Heuett and Donald McCullough; step-grandmother, Virginia McCullough; uncle, David Good, and aunt, Mary Anne; aunt, Dorothea “Duffie” Redenbaugh; step-aunt, LaDonna Brown, and her husband, David; and cousins, Hope Stout and Christopher Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Ayde Good; his son, Dartanian Good, and daughter, Zerenity Good; his stepdaughter, Stephanie Montes; stepson, Eli Lujan; and step-granddaughter, Zenniyah Camacho; his father, Rex Good Sr., and stepmother, Doris; his mother, Anita McCullough, and stepfather, Darryl; his brothers, Rex Good II and his wife, Amanda; David Good and his wife, Katy; and Isaac McCullough; his stepsisters, Renee Richardson and Michelle Herrera and her husband, Isaac; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He will be missed tremendously by those who knew him. There will always be a Dale-shaped hole in our hearts until we see him again. Although our hearts are shattered at his loss, we still rejoice that we were blessed with such a gift from God for almost 42 years. Until we meet again, may our loss be Heaven’s gain, dear one.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Getz Funeral Home.
