Ricardo G. Jacquez (Rick)

Ricardo G. Jacquez, born on August 26, 1960, in Canutillo, TX , passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Las Cruces, NM. A cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Ricardo leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will be remembered by all who knew him. Ricardo is survived by his devoted wife, Irene Jacquez, his children, Ricardo Jacquez Jr. (Andrea),Daniel Jacquez (Sandra), and Victoria Jacquez, his godson, Eric Garcia (Vanessa), his sister, Olga Casas (Carlos), his brother, Guillermo Jacquez Jr.(Rita), many grandchildren, and two great grand granddaughters on the way. Throughout his life, Ricardo passionately dedicated himself to the environment, earning recognition as Southern District Manager with the New Mexico Environment Department. Whenever he wasn't at work, you could find him enjoying his favorite pastimes. Ricardo loved camping under the stars and sharing cold beers with friends and family. Sundays were reserved for cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, and he never missed a chance to catch an exciting boxing match. Family cookouts were among his greatest joys, where he brought his infectious energy to the grill. He treasured those moments spent sitting on his back porch, savoring coffee, and enjoying the company of loved ones. His cherished "man cave" was his retreat, a place where he could unwind, reflect, and foster connections. Always willing to lend a hand, Ricardo didn't mind getting his hands dirty and took pride in maintaining his yard. Ricardo's spirit of generosity extended beyond his family and friends. He dedicated his time volunteering with the VFW Post 6917, giving back to those in need. While we mourn Ricardo's passing, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. He will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with his laughter and passion for life. Ricardo was preceded in death by: Guillermo Jacquez, Isabel Jacquez, and daughter Daniela Jacquez.

Services will be held at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church on September 23, 2025 beginning with a viewing at 12:00pm followed by rosary at 1:30 and Mass to begin at 2pm.
