Richard C. Cauble Jr., 57, of Las Cruces, NM died on March 30, 2012. He was born July 23, 1954, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the son of the late Richard (Dick) and Ruth Cauble. He moved many times with his dad's military career, finally settling in Las Cruces and graduation from Mayfield High School. He spent two years at University of Denver and completed his B.A. degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He continued at CU Law and graduated in 1982. He became a member of the New Mexico State Bar in 1983 and established his law practice in Las Cruces. He worked hard to assure his clients were represented with competence, diligence, and passion. Rich enjoyed traveling internationally, starting with Semester at Sea while in college, He spent time in Russia, France, and South America. He traveled extensively in Argentina, Chile, and Peru, visiting Machu Picchu and Easter Island and trekking in Patagonia. He also loved to hike in the mountains surrounding Las Cruces. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Cauble, of Las Cruces, NM; two sisters, Jean (James) Herbert of Lyons, Colorado; and Susan (Patrick) Fort of Albuquerque, NM and niece and nephews Daniel (Raine) Fort, Zachary Fort, Hannah Fort, and Matthew Fort of Albuquerque and his ex-wife JoAnn Cauble of Las Cruces. The family extends particular thanks to Ms. Lisa Baldonado his secretary and "doer of everything else" for the past 26 years.
