Richie A. 'Ricky' Hernandez

Richie A. Hernandez, 44 of Las Cruces, NM died Monday, January 14, 2008 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. "Ricky" as he was fondly known was born January 10, 1964 in Gallup, NM to Anthony and Beatrice Hernandez. Richie had lived in Las Cruces for about 40 years and was caretaker. He is survived by four sisters, Isabell Delgado and husband Ralph of Las Cruces; Gloria Hernandez and husband Serjio of Las Cruces; Marcella Campos of Las Cruces and Veronica Hair and husband Jim of Bloomfield, NM. Also surviving are four nephews, two nieces, and 14 great nieces and nephews. Ricky was preceded in death by his stepfather and mother, Adan and Beatrice Chavez; his maternal grandmother, Idacia Martinez; a sister, Darlene "Dolly" Chavez; Godson, Greg Trejo and Godfather, Victor Burrola. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12 to 2 PM on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM, at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road.
