Robert Elton Noble "Bobby" died unexpectedly on March 13 while preparing his garden for a new season. He lived a wonderfully rich 69 years. Bobby was born October 11, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Robert Noble and Marion Siddall. His family moved to Las Cruces when he was seven years old. Bobby was an independent and adventurous boy with an aptitude for all things mechanical. He graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1956. In 1961, he met Mary Nahas who became his beloved wife, life partner and best friend. Working for Bates Electric, Bobby learned the electrical trade. He established J-N Electric Company in 1972, and operated it successfully until his retirement in 1998. Bobby was naturally curious and had many passionate interests throughout his life, including deep sea diving, long distance running, cattle ranching, racquetball, golf, gardening, computer programming and motorcycle riding, among others. His love for his family was his greatest passion of all. Bobby loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Nancy Basch of Las Vegas, NV; Brenda Stewart (Jim) of San Antonio, TX; and Robin Gribbon (Rich) and Carol Hoeffler (John) of Boulder, Colorado. Grandchildren Lauren Basch; Shelby, Taylor, Travis, Christopher and Ryan Stewart; Olivia and Robert "Bo" Gribbon; and Cameron and Allison Hoeffler. Sisters Patricia Villarreal (Julian) of Houston, TX and Janet Miller (Richard) of Corpus Christi, TX, and many adored nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William "Billy" Noble. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. with a celebration vigil to take place at 7 p.m. Monday March 17, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday March 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
