Rosa (Rosie) Broyles passed away on Dec. 16, 2011 at Casa Bella Assisted Living Facility of Las Cruces, NM after a long illness with Alzheimer's disease. Rosie was born November 12, 1947 in Nogales, AZ to Arturo and Margarita (Pimiento) Manjarrez and raised in Mexico. She is survived by her husband Tom Broyles of the family home in Las Cruces, NM: step children and families Timothy Broyles of Denton, TX, David Broyles of Austin, TX, Elizabeth Adams of Paradise, TX and sisters and families Margie Chamberlain of Nogales, AZ and Guadalupe Carbajal of Hermosillo, Mexico Rosie married her husband Tom in Mexico City on July 21, 1973. They lived in many different areas of the country including many years each in Houston, TX, Denver, Co, and Phoenix AZ before settling in Las Cruces, NM upon retirement in 2000. Rosie was an avid craft worker in ceramics and enjoyed sewing and homemaking. She loved God with all her soul and was very active in church life where ever she lived. She loved traveling, living, and making friends in many places her husband's career took them. She was a happy, kind and a gentle person who brought love and laughter to all who knew her. She will be so missed by her many friends and loved ones. The family wishes to thank Casa Bella Assisted Living Facility staff for the many acts of kindness and excellent care Rosie received during her illness; and special thanks to Ambercare Hospice for their help in Rosie's last days. Memorial Services to celebrate her life will be at 2 PM on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home with Fr. Scott Ruthven of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church officiating.
