Salvador Eusebio Marquez, 83, of Stanton, California, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 in Las Cruces New Mexico. 

Sal proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting in 1962. He went on to build a long and accomplished career as a highly skilled airplane mechanic, working for major aviation companies including McDonnell Douglas, Garrett Aviation, Allied Signal, and Honeywell.

A true craftsman at heart, Sal found joy in creating—whether it was through ceramics, personal carpentry projects, or restoring his beloved 1972 Ford Torino. He was a passionate sports fan who never missed a chance to cheer on the California Angels and the New York Jets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Agapito and Elena Marquez, and his brother Eddie Marquez. 

He is survived by his loving wife Thelma, his children Michael, Nicholas (Christina), and Kimberly Marquez, and his grandchildren Noah, William, and Nina. Sal is also survived by his siblings Agapito Marquez (Evelyn), Priscilla (Victor) Hernandez, Rose (Buddy) Herrera, Juan (Liz) Marquez, Terri (David) Giron, Jenny (Manny) Segura and their loving nieces and Nephews. 

Sal will be remembered for his steady hands, creative spirit, and unwavering love for his family.

A memorial service will be held at St. Genevieve’s Catholic on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m.
