Sara Maria Hernandez

Mrs. Sara Maria Torres Hernandez, aged 67, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was born on February 13, 1958, in California, daughter of the late Alberto Torres and the late Graciela Guereca.

Sara is survived by her loving husband, Manuel Leon Hernandez, her six children, Manuel F. Hernandez, Leticia S. Albert, Grace M. Hernandez, Mark A. Hernandez, Timothy M.J. Hernandez, and Jerry P. Hernandez. Sara is also survived by her grandchildren, Jay Albert and Andie Albert and her beloved great grandchild, William Albert. She also leaves behind many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Sara was a hard worker her entire life and served others as a certified nurse’s aide, paralegal, licensed hearing aid technician and ultimately retiring as a lead clerk at the Department of Health.

Sara had a love of gardening and had a green thumb in making all things grow. Her favorite flowers were miniature carnations and miniature roses which surrounded her home. Sara made beautiful gardens for her homes throughout her life for her family. Sara was creative and talented with building benches and picnic tables for people to enjoy her gardens. Sara loved her small dogs who became family and were loved and spoiled.

Sara was a wonderful, loving wife and mother and covered the walls of her home with photos of loved ones.

Rest in peace, Sara. You will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
