Sophia Otero Molina
June 14, 1967 — March 23, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sophia Otero Molina (Sophie), 57 on March 23, 2025, in El Paso, Texas.
She was born June 14, 1967, in Las Cruces, NM to Jose Otero and Stella Chavez. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Johnny Molina and daughter Jasmine Molina (Bryanna). Her sister Rebecca Valenzuela (Johnny), niece and goddaughter Anissa Valenzuela. Great niece and goddaughter Megan Molina. Her grandmother Angelita Chavez and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Stella.
A prayer vigil will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 5pm at Getz Funeral Home 1410 E. Bowman Ave Las Cruces NM 88001. A celebration of life will be held at Elks Lodge 3000 Elks Dr. Las Cruces NM 88005 on Saturday at 1pm.
