Steven T Valencia

Steven T. Valencia, 76, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 surrounded by family. He was born May 9, 1938 in Hot Springs, NM to Felix and Isabel Valencia. He grew up in Cuchillo, NM. Steve served our country honorably as a member of the US Navy and US National Guard. He retired from the US Postal Service in October of 1992. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Esther, of 26 years; daughters, Gwen Thompson (Billy) of Grants, NM; Brenda Valencia-Cirar (Nick) of T or C, NM; Janet Godfrey (Edward) also of T or C, NM; Renee Pantoja (Andy) of Las Cruces, NM; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Isabel Valencia and son, Felix Valencia. At Steve's request, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave., Las Cruces, NM. Concluding service interment will follow in Hatch, NM at Garden of Memories cemetery.
