Tanya Rutherford

Tanya was born in Tucson, AZ in 1970 but grew up mostly around Los Angeles, CA. She moved to Las Cruces in the mid 1990's marring husband Bill and raising their son Liam here. Tanya graduated from New Mexico University in 2001 after working for a couple car dealerships in town. She was a long-time accountant in the pecan industry, working for Young Pecan, King Ranch, and National Pecan. Tanya loved children and was an active leader in Boy Scouts serving for many years helping grow the program and helping in many service projects to benefit our area. She is survived by husband Bill and son Liam, sister Rebecca, brother Todd, father Gunter and proceeded in death by her sister Bonnie and Mother Sharon. Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at St. Albert the Great Newman Center. Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be no reception for the family.
