Theresa Mary Johnson

February 1, 1956 – February 1, 2026

Long-time Arizona resident, Theresa Mary Johnson passed away peacefully on her 70th birthday in Las Cruces, NM.

Theresa was born in Belleview, Illinois on February 1, 1956, one of five children of Charles R. Johnson and Dorothy M. Gunlock. Shortly after her birth, the Johnson family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Theresa later moved to Tucson, Arizona and worked as an escrow officer for a title company. In 1986, she had a son, Michael.

She later returned to Phoenix and retired as a medical billing clerk at Dignity Health. In 2020, Theresa moved to Las Cruces, NM to be closer to her family.

Theresa was a kind and sweet soul whose face lit up whenever she saw children. She had a silly sense of humor. Theresa adored her only child, Mike and was proud of all his life successes.

Theresa is survived in death by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Julie, grandsons, Emmet and Ethan, sisters, Mary Anne and Elizabeth, dear friend, Bob and cousins, Susan and Trudy.
