Thomas Gregory Falin

Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, Thomas "Tom" Gregory Falin passed away at home with his loved ones on December 31, 2021, in Radium Springs, NM. Tom was born in Covington, KY on April 4, 1955. He was the only child to Jack and Mary Falin.

He graduated from Garfield High School and joined the U.S. Army in 1973. He was stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, TX where he served as a military police officer.

Tom worked a number of security jobs. He owned his own guard dog business "Guardian Security Dogs" in El Paso, TX for 10 years. He worked security for White Sands Missile Range. And lastly, Tom worked for the city of El Paso's Animal Services, where he was a Senior Officer. He retired in 2018.

Tom is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maggie Falin, his children Lacy and Brad Lunsford, two grandsons Logan and Liam, his baby girl, Lorilynn Falin, two sons David and Chris Falin. As well as numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Tom was an avid family man. He loved camping and hiking with his family. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and target shooting with friends and family. He also loved listening to music and playing pool with his children. One of his favorite things in the world was playing with his two grandsons.

Services to celebrate his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday January 13, 2022, at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Brad Lunsford, Eric Lunsford, David Falin, Chris Falin, Cody Rosales, and Angel Escobedo.

Tom was one of a kind; he was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend that anyone could possibly ask for. He will be deeply missed by his family and his friends.
