Vicente T. Ramirez Jr., 65, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Born on November 21, 1960, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Vicente (Vince) was the beloved son of Vicente T. Ramirez Sr and Clara Rose Ramirez (Rivas.) Raised with strong values of faith, family, and hard work, he carried those principles with him throughout every chapter of his life.

Vince graduated from Las Cruces High School and later attended New Mexico State University, where he was a proud member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Throughout his career, he became known as a successful manager and noble craftsman whose dedication, work ethic, and leadership earned the respect of all who knew him.

Vince lived life purposefully and passionately. He was a tribal member of the Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo. He enjoyed playing golf, cheering on Notre Dame football, and sharing good conversations over whiskey and Pacifico beer. More than anything, however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family — especially his beloved grandson, Lucas. He was known for being loyal, charismatic, honest, tough, hardworking, ambitious, and deeply loving. His presence was larger than life, and his love for those around him was unwavering.

As a proud Catholic and devoted follower of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Vince’s faith guided him throughout his life and provided strength not only himself, but also his family.

Vince is survived by his wife, Darlene Elizabeth Ramirez (Luttrell); his daughter, Rebecca Ann Rodriguez (Ramirez), and her husband, Daniel Rodriguez; his cherished grandson, Lucas Rodriguez; and his sons, James Paul Ramirez and Nicholas Andrew Ramirez and daughter-in-law Elissa Rivas. He is also survived by his siblings: Ted Ramirez; Mary Audetat and her husband, Rudy Audetat; Steve Ramirez; Judy Long and her husband, David Long; and Ruth Ramirez.

Vince was preceded in death by his father, Vicente T. Ramirez Sr.; his mother, Clara Ramirez; and his brother, Larry Ramirez. and niece Amanda Norton (Ramirez).

To Vince, family was everything. His wife and children were the love of his life, and the bond he shared with his parents and siblings remained the anchor of his life. The legacy he leaves behind lives on through his three children and grandson, whose lives were forever shaped by his love, guidance, and strength.

Though Vince’s passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved him, his spirit, laughter, faith, and unwavering devotion to family will never be forgotten. May he rest peacefully in the eternal embrace of the Lord.

A funeral service honoring Vince’s life will be held on June 12, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
